Para pecinta musik cadas Indonesia akan digebrak oleh band grindcore asal Amerika Serikat, Misery Index. Dalam rangkaian tur Asia yang bertajuk 'Heirs to Thievery Asian Tour 2011', band legendaris ini akan tampil di 5 kota besar di Indonesia.
Selasa (30/3) kemarin, Misery Index akan menghibur pecinta musik keras Kota Pahlawan di Surabaya Expo. Dilanjutkan Rabu (31/3), mereka akan tampil di Makassar tepatnya di Liquid cafe, Grand Clarion. Kemudian pada Jumat (1/4) di Medan, Terminal Futsal Hall. Tanggal Sabtu (2/4) di Jogja, Campus hall STIM Monjali. Yang ditutup pada Minggu (3/4) di Jakarta, Bulungan outdoor.
Mendapat kesempatan keliling Indonesia, Jason Netherton (bass, vokal), Mark Kloeppel (gitar, vokal), Adam Jarvis (drum), dan Darin Morris (gitar), tidak akan menyia-nyiakan moment tersebut untuk berburu kuliner.
"Kami selama di Indonesia berniat untuk wisata kuliner, menyicipi setiap masakan khas daerah. Kami tidak akan menyia-nyiakan kesempatan ini," kata Jason sang vokalis saat jumpa pers di kantor Revision, Tanjung Duren, Jakbar, Selasa (29/3).
Misery Index merupakan band legendaris dengan aliran death metal dan grindcore. Selama karirnya Misery Index sudah menelurkan beberapa album seperti RETALIATE (2003), DISCORDIA (2006), TRAITORS (2008), dan HEIRS TO THIEVERY yang dirilis Mei 2010 lalu.
Mengusung tema Heirs to Thievery Asian Tour 2011 dalam turnya kali ini, band asal Maryland, Amerika Serikat, Misery Index tampil garang di Bulungan Outdoor Blok M, Jakarta Selatan, Minggu (3/4) malam.
Tanpa banyak bicara, lagu cadas macam Traitors, Conquistadores, Unmarked Graves, The Great Depression pun langsung digelontorkan oleh band yang digawangi oleh Jason Netherton (bass, vokal), Mark Kloeppel (gitar, vokal), Adam Jarvis (drum), dan Darin Morris (gitar). Dan mengajak penonton untuk melakukan head banging dan moshing di area pagelaran konser.
"Apa kabar Jakarta? Kami sangat senang bisa berada di sini. Terima kasih atas sambutannya, kami minta kalian berteriak keras untuk kami," sapa Mark yang langsung disambut teriakan keras oleh penonton.
"Akan ada banyak lagu yang akan kami bawakan malam ini, jadi siap-siaplah," teriak Jason Netherton.
Penonton pun sontak meneriakkan beberapa judul lagu yang menjadi lagu-lagu andalan mereka. Diwarnai oleh banjir keringat, namun hal tersebut tak menyurutkan adrenalin penonton untuk melakukan diving ataupun mengiringi teriakan warna vokal berat dari sang vokalis. Pemandangan serba hitam pun mewarnai konser Misery Index yang memberikan kesan cadas pagelaran malam itu.
Seperti yang diketahui, Jakarta memang menjadi rangkaian terakhir konser Misery Index di Indonesia, setelah sebelumnya band ini tampil di 4 kota besar lainnya di Indonesia yaitu Surabaya (30/03), Makassar (31/03), Medan (01/04), dan Jogja (02/04). Grup pengusung aliran death metal/grindcore/deathgrind ini telah sukses memancing adrenalin penggemarnya di tanah air untuk menikmati aksi mereka.
