Kami lahir di surabaya jawa timurt, terlahir dengan nama Screaming Death pada tahun 1995 lalu sempat berubah pada akhir tahun dengan nama “Venereal deseases” karena nama terakhir ini kami menemukan band dari USA kami sempat kecewa, lalu seolah tak punya harapan nama kembali lalu kami buat dengan nama “WAFAT” pada 11 november 1996, dan sangatlah berarti dari penggarapan album pertama 1996 hingga sekarang dengan beberapa line up

Apakah ada topik spesial dalam lirik2nya?
Lirik2 kami buat tentang kehidupan sekitar,ketidakpuasan diri dalam hidup manusia...


Apakah kamu sudah mencoba sesuatu yg berbeda waktu itu dalam hal penulisan lagu?
Kami merencanakan th 205 ini dengan album baru kami bercerita tentang panasnya politik negara kami, pada lirik album baru nanti berbeda dengan album kami pada sebelumnya.

Artwork untuk album ini keren banget, saya suka sekali, siapa artist yg membuat cover album-nya?
Pada album pertama kami “Cemetery of cellarage “ 1996 artwork cover kami kerjakan sendiri dengan informasi seadanya pada tahun itu, lalu pada album “Surga itu gelap” 2009 kami serahkan pengerjaan artwork kami pada pihak label, dan pada album “Exhausted Soul” 2011 artwork di kerjakan oleh fadly dia seorang drumer di Humanure


Apakah kalian akan tetap memakai artist ini untuk album berikutnya?
Sepertinya kami untuk album baru 2015 ini sudah memesan pada seorang artworker yg notabene sudah banyak di pakai bebrapa band besar deathmetal di indonesia

Hal-hal apa yg menginspirasi kalian secara musikal dan lirikal? Apakah ada tema-tema tertentu yg kalian suka bicarakan di lagu-lagu, dan penting untuk punya suatu pesan yg dimasukkan ke musik kalian?
Inspirasi2 musikal kami tetap melihat dari sisi kehidupan manusia dan juga lirik2 yg kami tulis menceritakan kehidupan manusia di dunia yg lain,keserakahan hidup, begitulah pesan yg kita berikan agar manusia selalu ingat dengan jalur2 yg telah di tentukan pencipta alam


Apakah penting menurut kalian untuk menemukan sound orisinil sendiri daripada hanya sekedar mengikuti apa yg band lain lakukan dan trend yg ada sekarang? Band-band apa saja yg merupakan influence terbesar kalian dan seberapa banyak inspirasi yg kalian ambil dari mereka?
Penting karena sound orisinil kami itu adalah cirikhas kami, kamai terlahir dengan influence “Suffocation” Cannibal Corpse” Dying fetus” dan banyak kami menelan inspirasi dari mereka

Kamu tahu banyak band USA telah melakukan tour di Indonesia dan banyak fans setia death metal disana, John Yoedi (RIP) founder Busuk Webzine juga berasal dari Indonesia dan fans fanatik Disgorge USA dan Suffocation.
