BOGOR, KOMPAS.com — Sebanyak 12 orang penambang emas ilegal alias gurandil tertimbun longsor di area pertambangan emas PT Aneka Tambang (Antam), Gunung Pongkor, Kabupaten Bogor, Selasa (27/10/2015).

Identitas mereka diketahui setelah polisi memastikan bahwa korban longsor merupakan penduduk sekitar yang juga berprofesi sebagai penambang emas ilegal di kawasan tersebut.

"Mereka (penambang emas ilegal) tertimbun longsor saat hendak mencari batu yang memiliki kandungan emas di lubang yang mereka buat sendiri," kata Kahumas Polres Bogor AKP Ita Puspita Lena melalui pesan singkat, Selasa (27/10/2015).

Sejauh ini, kata Ita, tim evakusi masih berusaha mencari 12 penambang emas ilegal atau gurandil itu.

"Mengingat kondisi dan medan menuju lokasi longsor sangat berbahaya, akan membutuhkan waktu. Tetapi, kita tetap berusaha untuk mencari keberadaan mereka," kata Ita.

Sebelumnya, 12 penambang emas dilaporkan tertimbun longsor saat mencari batu yang mengandung emas di dalam lubang Kunti Sisi, Blok Gunung Butak, Longsoran.

Tempat itu masih satu lokasi dengan area pertambangan emas milik PT Antam. Belum diketahui pasti penyebab longsor.

Namun, diduga hujan yang mengguyur lokasi itu membuat tanah dari atas tebing longsor dan mengubur para penambang itu hidup-hidup.
