Jonan Minta Revisi Rencana Pengembangan Blok Masela Dipercepat

Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM), Ignasius Jonan, meminta revisi plan of development (POD) atau rencana pengembangan Blok Masela segera diselesaikan. Sehingga, proyek Blok Masela segera berjalan.

"POD-nya ini lagi dibahas. Cuma kemarin, saya minta dengan Pak Wamen ( Wakil Menteri ESDM, Arcandra Tahar) supaya diperpendek. Jangan 4 tahun. Dibikin saja 2 atau 3 tahun. Kalau bisa setahun, ya setahun. Sependek mungkin, supaya cepat dibangun," ujar Jonan usai bertemu Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) di Istana, Kamis malam, Kamis (20/10/2016).

Menurut Jonan, Arcandra Tahar sudah bertemu dengan Inpex, selaku investor Blok Masela, untuk membahas soal POD itu. Intinya, kata Jonan, pemerintah mendorong agar proyek Blok Masela segera berjalan.

Selain itu, proyek Blok Masela bisa memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat di sekitar lokasi.

"Jangan nanti di bangun seperti benteng. Jadi, masyarakat setempat tidak mendapat manfaat apa-apa. Jadi, harus bikin jalan orang di sana juga menikmati. Mungkin kita wajibkan juga pegawainya diutamakan yang punya KTP sana, begitu lho," tambah Jonan.

Seperti diketahui, POD Lapangan Abadi yang awalnya menggunakan skema kilang LNG di laut (offshore) perlu direvisi setelah pada Maret 2016 lalu, Presiden Jokowi memutuskan kilang LNG dibangun di darat saja (onshore).

Percepatan ini perlu dilakukan agar POD dapat segera disetujui pemerintah dan Blok Masela resmi memasuki tahap produksi di 2018. Gas dari Blok Masela ditargetkan mulai mengalir (onstream) pada 2024 atau 6 tahun sejak POD ditandatangani.
