Perkenalan pertama saya dengan Ucokk kira-kira di tahun 2010, setelah saya mereview album pertama Divine yang bertitel Anger Thy Giveth untuk portal musik RawDep. Via Facebook, saya berkenalan langsung dengan beliau dan berbicara banyak hal soal musik, terutama Thrash Metal. Jujur saja, saat itu saya ‘newbie’ di kota ini, maklum saya perantauan. Belum banyak kenalan saat itu, dan Ucok termasuk orang pertama di dunia Metal Jakarta khususnya yang saya kenal saat itu.

Tak berapa lama, saya tertarik untuk ikut Divine latihan, dan Ucokk malah sekalian mengajak saya untuk bergabung, siapa tau cocok. Hehehe, sebelumnya memang saya bermain Thrash Metal dengan band old school Against, asal Purwokerto, jadi yah lumayan ada ‘modal’ untuk bermain genre ini. Pertemuan kami pertama kali di studio BK, Kemang milik Dodi Betrayer. Di situ saya berkenalan dengan member Divine lainnya, Aji, Ben, dan Ino. Malam itu juga, saya resmi masuk mengisi line up Divine yang berarti mengubah konsep awal dari single guitarist menjadi double guitarists.

Gig pertama saya dengan Divine adalah Jak Cloth di Senayan. Sebuah gig yang sangat membuka mata saya dengan scene Metal Jakarta. Mulai banyak teman-teman baru dan tentu saja sebuah kebanggan bisa bergabung dengan ‘band ibu kota’, itu saja kepuasan saya yang ‘polos’ saat itu. Di mata saya, Ucokk adalah sosok yang mengayomi, membimbing. Idealisme dia cukup tinggi, tapi tidak terlalu tinggi untuk menerima masukan dari member Divine lainnya. Gig demi gig kami jalani dengan semangat, dan saat itu juga kami mulai memasuki proses kreatif untuk album baru Divine. Black Solid, After War, Creature Inside perdana kami bawakan di gig A Tribute to The Big 4 & Allies, MU Café Sarinah. Banyak komen positif soal ‘perubahan’ musik Divine yang makin raw dan old school.

Selalu ada rasa bangga tiap kali Ucokk memperkenalkan saya ke orang lain, ‘Ini tandeman gue di Divine, ngeri kannnnn…’ Hahaha, kalimat ‘Ngeriiii kan’ selalu jadi trademark beliau. Di balik sosoknya yang sangar, gondrong, dia memiliki rasa humor yang tinggi dan suara unik yang akan membuat orang tertawa saat pertama kali berbicara dengannya.

Hingga suatu hari, saya mendapat kabar kalo Ucokk masuk RS Carolus karena suspect brain tumor. Damn!!! Dia tidak pernah sedikitpun mengeluh atau memberi tahu soal penyakit yang ternyata sudah lama dideritanya, bahkan ke Kak Bintang (Istrinya) sekalipun. Hingga akhirnya Bang Ucokk kedapatan kejang-kejang saat tidur dan saat itu juga dilarikan ke RS. Yang paling mengejutkan, saat bertemu di ruang perawatan, dia bilang ‘Kel, sorry ya, hari ini gak jadi latian..’ (hari itu harusnya Divine ada jadwal latihan). Antara shock dan kagum, orang ini baru saja koma dan dengan santainya dia bisa bilang hal itu. Masih ketawa-tawa, walaupun terlihat jelas badannya lemah sekali saat itu.

Atas inisiatif teman-teman, segera diadakan 2 gig khusus untuk mendonasikan hasilnya membantu biaya perawatan Ucokk. Yang pertama, Charity for Ucokk yang diadakan di MU Café, disupport banyak sekali teman-teman yang mau perform tanpa dibayar sepeser pun, acaranya pun berlangsung sampai nyaris subuh, pukul 02:00 pagi. Yang kedua, Metal Mafia yang diadakan Revision Live di Bulungan Outdoor, disupport banyak band-band besar dan menarik massa yang luar biasa banyaknya.
Lucunya, saat itu saya baru mengetahui, ternyata sosok Ucokk sebesar itu, setenar itu. Sosoknya yang luar biasa humble, rendah hati menutupi hal itu. Dia mau bergaul dengan siapa saja, semua orang dari berbagai kalangan, atas sampai bawah. Dia itu LEGENDA!!

Karena jiwanya yang super cuek dan kuat, sampai tahun 2015 tidak ada kejadian serius soal kesehatannya. Kami manggung di berbagai tempat, Bandung sampai Purwokerto. Perjuangan panjang kami berbuah hasil, pada bulan Maret 2015 akhirnya Divine mengeluarkan album baru, Long Live Thrash Metal dilabeli oleh Hitam Kelam. Kegembiraan Ucokk pada puncaknya. Apa yang sama-sama kami perjuangkan dari tahun 2011 akhirnya terealisasi.

Kira-kira bulan April, saya dikejutkan lagi kabar darinya, ‘Kel, gw drop lagi nih..’. Karena ingin kondisinya pulih, Divine meneruskan beberapa gig yang sudah ada dengan format berempat. Sampai akhirnya di gig Jakarta Rockculture 2015, Rolling Stone Cafe. Setelah sebelumnya Ucokk absen untuk bermain di beberapa gig, entah, di gig ini dia memaksa untuk ikut dan saat latihan kondisinya tampak baik-baik saja.
Seingat saya, saat gig itu, Ibunda Ucokk ikut serta. Aneh, tapi ya kami main seperti biasa. Hingga saya melihat video perform ini diupload. Ini kayak bukan Ucokk! Ucokk harusnya gila-gilaan, bukan diam di stage..
Setelah itu, saya juga baru mengetahui, saat di gig ini ada dokter yang stand by, untuk antisipasi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan. Ternyata ini 'pesan' terakhir dari beliau, bahwa sampai titik terakhir, dia ingin jarjerjor di stage...

Sedih, kecewa, sakit hati dan berjuta perasaan negatif lainnya berkecamuk di diri saya saat mendapat kabar Beliau menghembuskan nafas terakhirnya setelah mengalami pembengkakan batang otak pasca operasi pengangkatan tumornya. Ikhlas, doa terbaik dan hal baiknya banyak sekali disampaikan orang-orang yang sayang dan kenal Ucokk.

Kalo saya ditanya, siapa gitaris terbaik Indonesia, saya akan langsung menjawab UCOKK TAMPUBOLON. Saya bangga sekali pernah berkarya, bermain, bercanda, bekerja bersamanya..

Selamat jalan, Bang.. Bakal kangen banget sama lo.. sosok lo gak akan pernah tergantikan.
