Dua tahun terakhir nampaknya menjadi masa emas untuk band folk-akustik di skena musik independen Indonesia, sudah tidak terhitung lagi berapa banyak band baru yang membawakan jenis musik ini, salah satunya adalah band asal kota Bandung, Deugalih & Folks.
Band ini KANALTIGAPULUH temukan secara tidak sengaja, saat pada awal tahun 2015 kemarin kami mendapat undangan khusus untuk menghadiri sebuah festival musik di salah satu pegunungan yang ada di Pangalengan, Bandung. Setelah melihat penampilan mereka diatas panggung, redaksi memutuskan untuk membeli album terbaru mereka ‘Anak Sungai’, dimana album ini belum lama ini di launching di IFI, Bandung pada bulan Maret 2015 yang lalu.
Album ini dikemas secara simpel dengan balutan artwork cover yang digarap oleh Resatio dan dirilis oleh label Demajors. Album yang membawakan musik folk yang ceria ini sebenarnya tidak seceria musik yang mereka bawakan, meskipun dari 10 track yang ada didalamnya lebih banyak bertemakan mengenai alam dan anak-anak. Di dalam booklet yang dilampirkan di album ‘Anak Sungai’ ini dapat kita baca bahwa album ini dibuat untuk merespon Sungai Citarum di Bandung yang merupakan sungai terkotor dan terpolusi di dunia.
