- Bagaimana kabar vallendusk nih ?
Hi kabar baik disini. Sedang menyibukkan diri dengan rutinitas pekerjaan dan keluarga.
- Ceritain sedikit dunk tentang histroy Vallendusk ?
Vallendusk dibentuk September 2011, berawal dari sekedar chit chat biasa soal musik diantara kami berempat lalu berlanjut serius untuk menghadirkan kreatifitas yang nyata dalam bentuk karya. Minat dan visi yang sama itulah yang membuat semuanya mudah mengalir.

- Di vallendusk sendiri siapa sih yang paling berperan dalam mengerjakan sebuah lagu ?
Saya dan Danang yang menulis musik. Kemudian kita berkumpul berempat untuk mengerjakan komposisi dan aransemen bersama2. Lirik dibuat oleh Rizky.

- kira - kira Berapa bulan album terbaru "Homeward Path" ini kalian kerjakan ?
Penulisan lagu, aransemen, dan sesi latihan dimulai sejak pertengahan 2013 hingga 2014. Pertengahan 2014 kami buat demo kasarnya untuk kami review sekaligus pengembangan materi, jika diperlukan. 3 bulan kemudian baru kami masuk studio untuk merekam semuanya.

- Dan apa sajakah kesulitan2 yang kalian dapatkan ketika mengerjakan album ini ?
Sebagai musisi kami harus banyak belajar. Banyak pelajaran juga yang kami dapat dalam proses pembuatan album ini. Kepuasan dan kekecawaan kadang sangat tipis batasnya, yang membedakan hanya soal persepsi. Kesulitan utama adalah di saat ingin merealisasikan ide2 baru yang spontan muncul di studio rekaman dimana kami harus bekerja ekstra untuk menjembatani aransemen yang sudah fix sebelumnya dengan yang baru agar tetap sinkron.

- Bagaimanakah warna musik di album terbaru ini, berapa persen perubahan yang kalian lakukan jika dibandingkan dengan "black clouds gathering" ?
Album ini lebih kompleks dari segi struktur namun tetap cathcy. Aransemen juga dibuat lebih dinamis ketimbang album pertama. Selain part2 atmosferik dan melodik yang mungkin sudah cukup familiar di kuping pendengar kami, di album ini juga sarat dengan part2 bernuansa kelam dan dingin. Secara keseluruhan, album ini jauh lebih matang dan balance. Tapi saya tidak bisa mengukurnya dengan prosentase.

- Siapakah yang kalian percayakan untuk mengerjakan rekaman dan mixing di album ini ?
Kami masih merekam di Teargas Studio, tempat yang sama saat kami mengerjakan "Black Clouds Gathering", dengan bantuan teman kami Cad sebagai operator & sound engineer nya.

- kalo boleh tahu Artwork ini bikinan siapa ya ? artworker lokal atau luar negeri ?
Artworker internal band sendiri hehe. Ini vokalis kami Rizky yang buat.

- Share sedikit juga dunk bagaimana karya2 vallendusk mampu menembus pasar eropa ?

Hmm, sangat panjang kalau diceritakan detail. Semua seakan mengalir begitu saja. Yang utama dan paling penting untuk dipikirkan adalah bagaimana cara agar kita mampu untuk merepresentasikan karya yang kita buat dengan baik dan sesuai standar. Karya yang baik otomatis semacam SIM yang bisa berlaku dimanapun. Semuanya memang dibutuhkan usaha dan kerja keras, tapi itu saja tidak cukup. Dibutuhkan networking dan pemahaman yang betul soal gimana cara memperkenalkan dan memasarkan karya kita dengan baik, itu semua bisa diperoleh melalui pengetahuan, pengalaman, tidak kalah penting juga soal sikap dan atitude kita.

- Dalam kurun waktu tiga tahun berturut-turut Vallendusk telah menelurkan 3 karya, termasuk torehan yang sangat keren, hal apa kah yang membuat kalian bisa seproduktif ini ?

Album /karya fisik akan selalu menjadi fokus bagi Vallendusk. Kami mencoba untuk tetap konsisten. Kami tidak begitu tertarik untuk banyak melakukan gigs disana sini. Selain band, kami masih memiliki tanggungan yang lain yaitu pekerjaan dan keluarga. Sejak awal band ini terbentuk, kami punya komitmen sendiri bahwa kami ingin segala sesuatunya tetap seimbang, baik urusan band maupun personal. Sementara ini kami hanya menjadwalkan untuk main di gigs2 komunitas dan atau atas undangan teman2 dekat saja. Pembagian waktu yang cukup, disamping integritas kami bermusik di Vallendusk tentunya, itu merupakan hal yang dapat membuat kami tetap konsisten dan produktif.

- Band apa aja sih, yang telah mempengaruhi warna musik Vallendusk ?
Kita tidak menyempitkan referensi bermusik, kita suka dengar musik macam2. Dari Black Metal, folk, indie, country, techno, ya apapun.

- Untuk Album Homeward Path ini, apakah kalian akan melakukan tour promo ?
Belum ada rencana untuk itu, yang jelas saat ini kami belum bisa untuk meninggalkan rumah untuk waktu yang lama. Mini tour mungkin, tapi belum ada sesuatu yang sudah di set up.

- Kapan album terbaru Homeward path ini bisa dibeli di tanah air ?
Album tsb sudah kami jual sejak akhir Juni kemarin via kami sendiri dengan harga yang cukup "bersahabat". Kami mendapatkan kiriman royalti dari label kami di German sebanyak 200 pcs. Hanya saja dalam kurun waktu 1 minggu semua stok yang kami miliki sudah terjual habis. Mungkin di beberapa distro masih tersedia.
