Kepala Dusun Joho Clumprit, Desa Sumobito Yanto mengatakan, jebolnya tanggul Sungai Gunting terjadi di dua lokasi berbeda. Lokasi pertama terletak di Dusun Joho Clumprit. Tanggul yang terakhir diperkuat dengan plengsengan 12 tahun silam itu ambrol selebar 10 meter Jumat dini hari.

Akibatnya, air Sungai Gunting meluap ke areal persawahan milik warga. Bahkan, jalan beraspal yang menjadi satu-satunya akses menuju Dusun Joho Clumprit dan Dusun Pojok (Desa Curah Malang) terputus akibat tergerus air sungai. Jalan yang sebelumnya rata, membentuk kubangan air sehingga tidak bisa dilalui kendaraan apapun.
