AKARTA - Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) telah memberikan rekomendasi penangguhan penerapan mekanisme surat kredit berdokumen dalam negeri atau letter of credit ke PT Freeport Indonesia. Rekomendasi penangguhan L/C ini sudah dilayangkan ke Kementerian Perdagangan.
"Kita sudah memberikan rekomendasi (penangguhan L/C), dan di Kementerian Perdagangan kenapa belum dapat? Engga tahu saya," ujar Bambang di kantor Kementerian ESDM, Jakarta, Kamis (13/8).
Seperti diketahui, Kementerian Perdagangan mengeluarkan peraturan ketentuan wajib menggunakan fasilitas transaksi internasional Letter of Credit (L/C) kepada para eksportir komoditas tertentu. Ketentuan ini bertujuan agar devisa ekspor yang didapat para eksportir dalam negeri tercatat dan tak disimpan di luar negeri.
Kebijakan yang tertuang dalam Peraturan Menteri Perdagangan Nomor 04/M-DAG/PER/1/2015 menyebutkan komoditas yang diwajibkan cara pembayarannya dengan menggunakan L/C yakni minyak sawit (CPO & CPKO), mineral (termasuk timah), batubara, serta minyak bumi dan gas (migas).
