Terbentuk tanggal 1 November 1998 di Yogyakarta dengan fomasi awal Guns (vocal), Hestu (guitar), Agung (bass) & Andres (drum). Sebelum memakai nama SOULSICK mereka sempat memakai nama DEATH FATIMAH dengan posisi lead guitar dipegang oleh Heri ‘terong’. karena alasan kesehatan yang kurang begitu mendukung Heri mengundurkan diri kemudian nama DEATH FATIMAH yang kurang dianggap selling diganti dengan nama SOULSICK. Sedangkan Agung yang saat itu masih aktif sebagai bassis dari band beraliran speed metal ANTASENA memilih berkonsentrasi di SOULSICK. Pada saat itu mereka belum punya konsep yang jelas, semua aliran masih mewarnai jiwa SOULSICK. Tetapi disetiap gigs mereka selalu membawakan lagu sendiri yang diantaranya adalah PECAH NDASE & DALAM KESUNYIAN

Maret 1999 karena ada perbedaan prinsip dan idealisme Guns mengundurkan diri. Walaupun tinggal bertiga mereka tidak sampai patah semangat dan tetap aktif selalu di setiap gigs underground maupun non underground. Sedangkan untuk konsep musik mereka perlahan-lahan sudah mulai terlihat. Dari karakter setiap personil yang jelas berbeda disatukan menjadi jiwa JAVANESE HARMONICAL SICKNESS dengan konsep musik yang cenderung berbasic thrash, death & black yang sedikit ada sentuhan harmony nada gendhing jawa ditambah lyric yang bertemakan imajinasi, putus asa & legenda, dibulan Juli 1999 mereka mengeluarkan promo tape dengan judul “GERBANG SAMUDRANING KASENGSARAN” berisikan 4 lagu.

Pada bulan November 1999 SOULSICK merekam ulang lagu mereka. Tetapi dikarenakan hasilnya kurang memuaskan akhirnya gagal untuk dirilis. Bulan Februari 2000, SOULSICK menambah satu personil diposisi vocal yaitu Yuda. Maret 2000 merilis single “Throne of The Sun Never Changes” di Gerilya Compilation rilisan Edelweiss prod.

Mei 2000 kembali mereka masuk ke studio rekam untuk menyelesaikan semua materi lagu yang kemudian dirilis oleh Edelweiss prod. Dalam bentuk demo album dengan title “KESUNYIAN, KEGELAPAN & KEABADIAN” yang berisikan 7 lagu bernuansakan gloom, dark & black metal.

Ditahun yang sama Single “Dalam Kesunyian” masuk di METALIK KLINIK IV “dibawah naungan lebel MUSICA.
Masih dari album yang sama lagu “Setelah Mati Terlewati” masuk dalam kompilasi “INFINITY DARKNESS” yang dirilis Sinus Productions
Lagu “Air Suci Selatan Jawa” masuk dalam kompilasi “MATI DAN MEMBUSUK” yang dirilis oleh Core Shop record.

Pada bulan Juli 2000 SOULSICK mulai memakai additional musisi di posisi keyboard dengan tanpa merubah / mempengaruhi konsep awal SOULSICK yang tetap suram.
Mulai tahun 2001 SOULSICK sering memakai additional drummer Yanto (KD / KLITORIS DEATH) disetiap gigs karena Andres yang sibuk dalam pekerjaannya.

Pada tahun 2004 Andreas menyatakan cuti dari segala kegiatan SOULSICK untuk lebih konsen pada kariernya. Maka formasi SOULSICK berubah Yuda (vocal), Hestu (guitar), Agung (bass) dan dua personil baru yaitu Novi (drum) serta Iwan (keyboard) yang sebelumnya adalah personil dari band black metal BETHOROKATON. Berlima mereka cukup solid untuk mengeluarkan album SOULSICK yang kedua yang diberi title “TITIAN EMBUN SUCI” berisikan 9 lagu dibawah label RA prod. (Cahaya Bulan).

Setelah rilis album kedua tahun 2005 Hestu pun menyatakan cuti dari segala kegiatan SOULSICK karena urusan karier yang membawanya kembali kota asal kelahirannya di Yogyakarta, dan memperkuat NOCTURN PROJECT.

Tahun 2007 formasi tinggal bertiga yaitu Agung, Yuda dan Iwan berjuang keras untuk kembali membangkitkan band. Mereka merangkul Pram (guitar) eks. RIWAYAT dan Zaenal (guitar) eks. CROXOUS serta Yusuf untuk posisi drummer.

Tahun 2009 dengan berbagai alasan dan pertimbangan akhirnya melepas Zaenal dan digantikan Jhony sebagai guitaris. Sehingga personil SOULSICK pada saat itu adalah Yuda (vocal) Agung (bass) Iwan (keyboard) Jhony (guitar) Yusuf (drum), Pram (guitar)

Tahun 2010 SOULSICK kembali merangkul Hestu karena pada saat itu Jhony disibukan dengan pekerjaanya , Yuda pun menghilang bagai ditelan bumi , akhirnya untuk mengisi kekosongan vocal SOULSICK merekrut Hernandes Saranela dari band Anathema Dismorpheus , dengan formasi ini SOULSICK sukses menjadi band pembuka MARDUK dijakarta .

Diawal tahun 2011 Iwan dan Pram mengundurkan diri dari SOULSICK disusul dengan Yusuf karena merasa sudah tidak sejalan , tanpa patah semangat Indra MAYITH direkrut untuk mengisi Drum , Yoppy Dr Stein (Ifrid) Keyboard dan Tommy Ngeri ( Vindictive Emperor) sebagai vocal , panggung demi panggung dilaluinya .

Tahun 2012 SOULSICK kembali solid dengan kembalinya Yuda dan Pram tapi tidak berlangsung lama karena Hestu mengundurkan diri , dengan single guitar akhirnya sampai mendapatkan Drumer baru Hamzah (Adaptor) semakin padat jadwal panggung , Pram mengundurkan diri digantikan oleh Barock (Adaptor)

Tahun 2013 Andy (Drosophila) masuk memperkuat Soulsick. Andy adalah orang yang mengisi atmosphere keyboard di album pertama Soulsick

Tahun 2015 Single Dalam Legenda Laut selatan masuk di kompilasi Garuda Hell vs Singa Hell. Disusul Ignore Disorder yang dirilis dalam 3 versi lagu. Kemudian sound track film kolosal tahun 90an di aransemen ulang dengan judul “Satria Madangkara” dirilis secara free download. Ditahun ini juga konsep Soulsick sudah mulai banyak perubahan. Karena bagi Soulsick adalah bermain berkarya di music metal. Atau lebih suka di sebut Javanese harmonical sickness.
